A seasoned senior management professional turned entrepreneur with over 24 years of rich hospitality, aviation, travel and tourism experience and a track record of successful performance who has delivered excellence in business and provided leadership and management to leading organizations in the Gulf Middle East and Asian Sub-continent region prior to establishing his own enterprise in the food and beverage business.
He holds a Masters Degree in Business Management (MBA) from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom, a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from the Delhi University, a Diploma in Airline Management from International Air Transport Association, (IATA) Geneva in strategic airline management, a Diploma in Hotel Management from The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition in Hospitality & Hotel Management, a Diploma in Business Management from The National Executive Board of Supervisory Management (NEBSM), United Kingdom and Project Management Certification from International Institute of Learning (IIL), New York.
He started his aviation career with British Airways and then moved to a corporate business management role with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for the Middle East markets. He later moved to Emirates Airline in the Commercial Operations Team looking after marketing and business management. He pioneered the launch of Emirates First Choice – an Airline Trade marketing program and created several new product and market strategies for Emirates. He received The Mabrook Award of Excellence from Emirates Airlines for successful implementation of business strategy in commercial operations.
Post this, he took over as the strategic business head for Dnata Travel where he worked in extensive areas of the aviation and travel business across markets. He led and developed the strategic expansion plan for Dnata and oversaw Dnata’s expansion in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and the region. He got The Dubai Service Excellence Award and The Dubai Quality Appreciation Award for Dnata from The Department of Economic Development, Dubai and implemented the service quality audits while leading the project management function.
He left The Emirates Group to establish his own business and successfully established the enterprise. In 2004-05, he established MerCURRIES – a contemporary indian restaurant fast food chain and now is poised for expansion in the region. He expanding into the catering and packaged food business and manages a successful niche catering services for the discerning segment.
He also has established a consulting division which provides consulting and turn-key project management services to the region’s leading hospitality, travel, tourism and aviation firms, airports, governments and multinational organizations. He is a key note presenter at several regional and global seminars, conducts workshops and lectures at The Emirates Aviation and other educational institutes.
