Saudi Arabian Ice sticks chain Freshi plans to extend its footprints across MENA. The company has signed a master franchise agreement with Amer Group, to grow the brand in counties like Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain. According to the agreement, Amer Group will open around 65 Freshi locations in MENA over the next several years. The brand’s first stores are expected to open in Egypt in 2012. Freshi, in addition to the stores' new look and feel, will also adapt its menu offerings to suit the local tastes in Egyptian. The brand will present usual Gelato favourites. It will also offer traditional Arab flavours, including Mocha and Lemon Mint and Cappuccino. Incepted in 1985, Amer Group has broad business portfolio of hotels and resorts, chains of malls, and restaurants. It currently operates a portfolio of 54 restaurants in Egypt, KSA and Syria spread across the five brands Chili's, Carino's Italian, Studio Masr Mediterranean Grill, Halket El Samak seafood restaurant and Alain le Notre French café & pastry.
