Giordano, the apparel retailer, has launched its 200th Middle East store at Mushrif Mall, Abu Dhabi. The brand opened 14 new Giordano stores in the region in 2011. It has also opened an additional outlet in Kuwait with rapid expansion across Saudi Arabia, with 12 new stores opened in the Kingdom in 2011 and two more set to launch before year end. The company is looking to have 250 stores by 2015. Besides this, Giordano is also doing large scale refurbishment programme across existing outlets in Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Its investment outlay for 2011 is over AED 25 million for new stores and renovations. Founded in Hong Kong in 1981, the brand opened its first regional store in Burjuman in 1993. Giordano International is one of the world's leading international retailers of apparel and accessories for men, women and children, today. The present Giordano network operates 200 stores across the region.
