House of Fraser, the British department store chain has forayed into the Middle East market.This is brands’ first move outside of the domestic market. The first ‘House of Fraser’ store will be launched in Aldar's Emporium at Central Market in 2012. Additionally, it will open a new store in Abu Dhabi in the next autumn. The brand has signed a franchise agreement with Retail Arabia, the leading retailer in the region that operates Géant stores and The Bahrain Mall. It is also targeting to launch more locations including the Yas Mall and in Jeddah, Riyadh, Doha, Kuwait and Dubai. Presently, the House of Fraser has 62 stores in the UK.
