US-based Russo’s has launched aggressive expansion in Middle East. The Italian restaurant concept with brands like Russo’s Coal-Fired Italian Kitchens and New York Pizzerias recently signed three franchise deals. These deals will see launch of 28 locations throughout the Middle East. Mega Holding, has signed to open eight Coal-Fired Italian Kitchens to the region, with the first location expected to open in Bahrain. Other locations are slated to open in Saudi Arabia and Doha in Qatar in the coming years. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will have 10 locations for these brands. Prime Hospitality, the F&B division of Ghobash Trading & Investment Company, will open 10 Russo’s Coal-Fired Italian Kitchens and New York Pizzerias in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the UAE.
The brands Russo’s Coal-Fired Italian Kitchens and New York Pizzerias cater to upscale dining and fast-casual dining. These have strong presence in the United States with 28 restaurants and planning to have 10 to 15 new restaurants in 2012.
