Starwood Hotels and Resorts is planning to open four new properties in the Middle East in 2012. The company’s new openings include two St. Regis properties. The 340-key St. Regis Doha (Qatar) is slated to open in February 2012, followed by launch of 279-room St. Regis in the second quarter of 2012 in Abu Dhabi (UAE). The company also has plans for two properties in Saudi Arabia in the third quarter including the four-star, 178-room Four Points by Sheraton Medina and the five-star, 297-room Sheraton Medina Hotel.
