US fast food restaurant brand Steak Escape is expanding into the United Arab Emirates (UAE) via franchising. Steak Escape is a 'Philly' cheese-steak sandwich brand and its owner Escape Enterprises has entered into a master franchise agreement with HMS Steak from the UAE for its launch in the Gulf state. The brand will soon launch its first location in Business Bay development in Dubai. Additionally, HMS plans to open nine restaurants in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the next three years. The planned openings will be through a mix of own stores and sub-franchised units. The brand is known for fresh and made-to-order food that includes signature sandwiches, grilled and chilled salads, smashed potatoes and ice-cold lemonade. Founded in 1982 with first store in Ohio, Steak Escape has more than 80 restaurants in the US and Mexico.
