The US based Subway restaurants has recently opened its milestone 50th store in Kuwait. Abdul Rahman Almutairi is the Development Agent and multi unit owner of the submarine sandwich chain in Kuwait. The new outlet is located at the Jahra Al Salam Complex. A few weeks ago, the new restaurants were launched at the Salmiya Marium Complex and Mubarak Al Kabeer area The Kuwaiti franchise is aiming to take the count of stores to 60 before the end of 2011. Further, it is looking to add 40 more restaurants within the next five years in Kuwait. The brand opened its first Kuwaiti store in 1996 on the Old Salmiya shopping street. The Subway chain is the largest submarine sandwich franchise in the Arab world. It has well established presence through over 250 restaurants in countries like the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon.
