Zafco, the leading distributor for tyres in the Emirates is seeking to launch its own chain of retail stores. The company will open own retail outlets across the Gulf. It has plans to open 65 locations across the region by 2012, including 10 in the UAE. Further, the proposed stores will be a mix of standalone units and shop-in-shop outlets with partners and brand networks. The company targets to provide high quality tyre fitting and automotive services. It will also offer mobile unit service to its clients. Founded in 1993, Zafco has established distribution network across the UAE market. The company has distribution rights for number of well known international tyre brands.
The company now has diversified product portfolio which also includes batteries and lubricants. It also manufactures tyres under own brand namely ‘Zeetex’. Presently, the company works closely with a network of over 800 global distributors across 85 countries.
