Jawad Group in Bahrain is the brand’s local franchise owner and, it opened the country’s first Burger King outlet, nearly 12 years ago. The brand will continue to focus on Bahrain and other parts of the Gulf towards its regional expansion strategy in Mid-East. Hana International Company Ltd, owned by Riyadh-based Olyan Group is the brand’s master developer for Middle East and North Africa (MENA). It operates more than 250 restaurants in the region. Burger King is the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world. The brand was founded in 1954.
