The textile brand Mafatlal, is re-launching through a newly formed joint venture between an Indian company, Meuse Garb, and the UAE-based fashion label Kara FZE. The brand Mafatlal has rebranded itself as Kara & Sungrace Mafatlal 1906. The lease rights of the Mafatlal brand have been given to Meuse Garb for 10 years. The new brand will be launched firstly, in the tier II and III cities in India.The new retail brand of Kara & Sungrace Mafatlal 1906 will be available in 600 franchise outlets with an affordable range of readymade garments from casual to office wear. Further, the brand will be introduced in the metros and retailed through company-owned outlets and multi-brand stores.
Sungrace Mafatlal is the flagship brand of Mafatlal Industries a part of the India based Sungrace Mafatlal Group. Based in the tax free zone of Ras Al Khaima in the UAE, Kara is an international fashion brand which will manufacture the newly launched brand and help the company to save costs.
